Scholarship

2023
Annual Award:
$500
Fund Amount:
$14,385

Established in 2006 as a local initiative by the friends, families, and brothers of Epsilon Gamma (St. Joseph's University), the scholarship honors the memory of four late brothers: Dion Arroyo, Peter Regan, DJ Schiulaz, and Danny Mihnovich. These individuals were not only valued members of the Epsilon Gamma chapter but also cherished by their families and friends for their contributions to both the fraternity and their communities.

From its inception, the scholarship has been a symbol of brotherhood and remembrance. It started as a local effort to raise funds and support young students pursuing higher education in the spirit of the values they held dear. Over the years, the scholarship grew with continued support from alumni, friends, and family, eventually gaining recognition beyond the chapter.

In 2023, after years of dedication and fundraising, the scholarship was fully funded, and the Alpha Phi Delta Foundation awarded its inaugural recipient. This milestone marked a significant achievement in honoring the legacy of the four brothers while supporting the academic ambitions of future generations of students.

Today, the chapter continues its commitment to this scholarship by hosting an annual gala. The event not only serves as a fundraiser but also as a celebration of the enduring bond of brotherhood. It is through this ongoing support that the scholarship will continue to grow and make an impact for many years to come—ensuring that the memories of Dion, Peter, DJ, and Danny live on.
