The Rahtelli Family scholarship was established by Alpha Phi Delta's 41st National President, Joseph Rahtelli (Beta Beta '82), along with his wife, Donna, and their three children, Joseph II (Delta Theta '07), Michelle, and Matthew (Beta Beta '14). Joseph, Joseph II, Michelle and Matthew are all past recipients of APD scholarships. As undergraduates, both Joseph II and Matthew were chapter presidents. All three fraternity brothers received the National Outstanding Undergraduate Award. In addition, each received at least one Expansion Award for starting new chapters.
As alumni, all three have served various roles for the fraternity. In 1996, Joseph was awarded the National Outstanding Alumnus Award.
This scholarship reflects the Rahtelli family’s deep commitment to Alpha Phi Delta and its mission of fostering academic excellence, leadership, integrity, and personal growth. It is awarded to undergraduate brothers who exemplify these values and demonstrate outside achievements in academics, service, and brotherhood.
