The family lived in a modest farmhouse with no heat, no running water, and no bathroom while riddled with bullet holes from World War II. Rocco did not have the best english-speaking skills when he came to America, but he wasn't a quitter and graduated high school with honors and entered Duquesen University and inititated into Psi Chapter in 1965. While in college, he always maintained multiple jobs while still managing time to be in a leadership roles in the chapter.
After college, he served his country in the United States Army where he attained the rank of Captain and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Vietnam.
He had a successful oil business as a representative for Arco and Sunoco and later, as an insurance agent and stock broker. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He passed away on March 6, 2022.
